This is a Competition to create a Call recorder cum Dictaphone for the Freerunner. It is based on the ideas expressed in the following mail on the community list by Pander
http://lists.openmoko.org/pipermail/community/2009-March/044035.html
Required use cases (quoted from mail) for the Application would be
1) record received sound only
2) record transmitting sound only (dictaphone)
3) record conversation, both receiving and transmitting sound
4) Playback recorded sound
A package for the application should be made available for FSO distribution.
Please express your desire to participate in this competition by leaving a comment on on this page or mailing rakshat at gmail dot com
Soft last date for entries is 31st March and Application must be ready by 30th April.
In case of a team entry the team can decide how to split the prize amount.
I am starting this off with a Prize amount bid of Euro 75, please add to this amount if you feel such an application is of use to you.
Please also feel free to volunteer as a judge for this project.

- Just to make sure I get you.
You want to be able to:
1. record the callers voice.
2. record sound using the handset mic, like a sound recorder?
3. record a whole call (two sides).
4. play sound into the conversation.
right?by TAsn on 26 Mar 2009 19:42
- clarification for TAsn
"4. play sound into the conversation"
Actually the requirement was just to be able to play a recording later on via the same application but if you are able to play sound into the conversation it would be great.by rakshat on 27 Mar 2009 07:10
