- Xselection ?
Hi,
as Giszmo already said: on Linux and other X11 systems, there's automatic clipboard system, called Xselection: you select some text somewhere, and put it into another window by pressing the middle mouse button.
What platforms are you working on ?

- ModZilla project
Hi,
I'm currently working on moving out the profile data storage directly to synthetic filesersystems, so many clients can easily access the same storage in a platform and network transparent way.
All FS access runs via an userland VFS library.
Synchronization could then be easily achieved by using an replicated filesystem.

- Why not an app indenpendent package management ?
hi folks,
I'd rather suggest an application independent package management, eg. porting apt or rpm to win32.

- HW access via 9P
Hi,
I really suggest letting the hardware access run via an synthetic filesystem (9P-based). It's platform and network transparent (doesn't even require IP) and can also be implemented directly in hardware.
